Logitech G15 Keyboard Macro Warning
I got banned for using the macro function. It is considered a bot/3rd party program and against the EULA.
FYI

Ive been using emote macro's ever since i got this G15, never got me into trouble.
Anet previously stated that single command actions like for instance /Laugh is fine for a macro key. But entire keystrokes + mouse commands recorded on a single macro is not accepted.

I have a G15 keyboard, only use it for emotes or commands. I think that's the only safe way to use it. Anything else and your really risking your account.

Basic key mapping should be fine
Macros for running here there attack use skill 1-8 bad (in combo)
You arn't the guy who mapped OWENED in characters like / \ ( ) | so it spelled a huge Owned over four different messages in all chat are you?????

Anet's bot detection system may not see a difference in behavior of a software bot or a keyboard macro. And also what matters is what you used the macro for.

I sympathise, Ulyria - the usage of macros has always been a grey area at best.
Would you mind telling us the extent of your macro usage so that those of us with G15s and similar don't fall into the same trap?
As for the rest of you, a little less of the "got wut u deserved, cheater" would be appreciated.

It's been downplayed before (Gaile said something along the lines of "...we wouldn't look at a drunkard-bot in the same way as we would a full-on farm bot" - paraphrase, not an exact quote) - but since then, things have gradually got stricter. All you gwx2 users should be cautious too, a clampdown is suspected to be coming...

That's our suspicion too. Doesn't make any sense though. The dual-clienting isn't used to actually farm anything - it's just used, as you said, to transfer all the goodies onto one account. That's nothing that couldn't be done with two PCs side by side.
Then again, this is all rumour and supposition - we don't know anything for certain.
Better to be safe than sorry, eh?

I use a G15 for macros and such. Each key set to use a particular skill (damage, usually) on a regular interval; the remainder are used for casts on different intervals (to disarm suspicion) and for movement.
I then play Gears of War 2 while I wait.
Fun shit
